Hello! My name is Barry and I am currently a final year math student at the University of Warwick as well as the author of a popular math blog on Medium with over 60,000 readers for over two years.I am starting out as an online and in-person math tutor for students across all school levels.I took my A-levels and achieved A* in both math and further math. I also took part in several mathematical olympiads and competitions whilst I was in high school.As evidenced by the success of my math blog, I have very strong ability to teach math to students of varying abilities, and also have knowledge of most common math curricula, such as the A-levels, IBDP, SATs and AP.
How My Lessons Work:
My lessons can be delivered in through software such as Zoom, Google Meet and Discord. You can also suggest another form of communication that suits you or your child's needs best. The lessons are delivered through my iPad and the webcam on my laptop.Before booking a lesson, we can have a video call to discuss you or your child's needs and your expectations for the classes. A call can be arranged through the booking tab.Generally, I will go through relevant concepts necessary for the qualifications you or your child are studying. And practice problems and homework will be provided for your own revision in between the lessons. I am happy to mark them for you if you wish.If you are already doing ok in your class, you can also join my lessons to get stretched and learn advanced concepts as I have had ample experience in various math competitions since high school. I have also completed the Cambridge STEP and Oxford MAT Exam so I can also offer advice and preparation if you are looking to study math at prestigious universities.
